An illustrious past meets light and airy modernity.

A slim, 52-storey skyscraper seems to rise almost effortlessly from the historic bank building, dating back to 1891, and is what makes the Central Business Tower so visible. At the same time, the building complex sits majestically amidst the surrounding structures, forming the crowning glory of the junction of Neue Mainzer Strasse and Junghofstrasse.

Architecture

Respecting the old while daring to do something new. The Central Business Tower combines the charm of the Gründerzeit period with modern functionality.

The listed façade of the base building, along with the monumental inner rotunda, give a profound indication of its historic past. The 205 m new building, with its spacious roof galleries, conveys a sense of grandeur. From its position set slightly back from the street, its appearance seems to change from different angles.

Behind the complex stretches the distinctive green belt of the former city walls, which can now be experienced in a whole new way thanks to the open nature of the architecture.

It is a true asset to the neighbourhood and a new highlight of the city.

Sustainability

Start work today on building for tomorrow – and beyond. From energy sources and design to planting extra greenery to improve air quality, as well as the ideal location next to the wall park, we value sustainable and technically smart concepts. For example, our photovoltaic system integrated in the exterior façade of the skyscraper allows carbon-neutral smart charging via the electric charging stations in the underground car park. We are already making plans for what will be the standard in the future.
